The City helps the Illinois Department of Transportation collect traffic count data.  They then publish the data.  Visit their Traveling Public page to find daily traffic counts on streets within the City of Danville.

Major improvements are managed by the Engineering Department and are typically performed by contractors.  City operations staff focus on maintenance activities and smaller jobs that are not cost effective to contract out.  Below are links to some of our more high profile projects.  See the links for important project updates.

See our annual program page for our annual resurfacing, patching, seal coating, and microsurfacing program.  The programs are only possible because of the local gas tax which goes to a protected enterprise fund that can only be used for infrastructure improvements and infrastructure for economic development projects.
